Engagement Pics

Since I was a slacker...I didn't get a chance to share some of our engagement photos. The photos were taken by Gisele Holloway. She is an amazing photographer!! We can't say enough about the work that she does. I can't wait to post the wedding pics. All of these photos were captured while we ran around Old Town Scottsdale (for 2 hours IN HEELS). It was well worth it!

This is some random care for sale. We thought that Gisele was crazy for taking pictures of our feet. As it turns out she isn't crazy. It is a pretty cool pic.

The love statue is in the middle of old town Scottsdale. I knew it existed, but not where. I never knew it was so close to where we hang out all of the time.
This is where our love story starts....Good ole' Dos Gringos.
This picture is pretty cheesy, but I still love it. Rich would kill me if he knew that I posted it. Good thing he doesn't pay attention to "DETAILS". Apparently details are only for females to worry about.

New Puppy

In May 21st we brought home a new puppy. Morgan is a german shepherd and a rottweiler mix. She started out tiny at 10 lbs. In 2 short months she is now 40 lbs and dwarfs our jack russell/chihuahua mix, Zoey who is a mere 12 lbs. They have a blast together. We joke that Zoey is training Morgan for the jack russell races. Who knew a big dog could move so fast. No dog has ever been able to keep up with our Zoey!

Slacking...

I said that I would keep up on this blog... Well, anybody who knows me knows that I would procrastinate. Here I am now playing catch up already.  Since about March we have picked up and left the valley and moved to Lakeside. I swore that I would never move back, but here we are and we LOVE it!! Rich is working on getting a restaurant up and running and I am working at the ever-growing Summit Regional in the ICU. This move has been a huge change for us, but a much needed one as well.

ENGAGED!

There are so many of our friends and family that do this blogging thing. I love reading everyone's blogs especially my sister's and friends from my past. So, I thought I would try my hand at it. Living in Phoenix has had its many ups and downs. After almost 7 years (WOW) here I have managed to fulfill my dream of being a nurse and found the love of my life! On February 8, 2009 the man of my dreams, Richard Prewitt (Richie), asked me to be his wife! Of course I said yes and we will be married on July 18, 2009. Quick I know, but I still can't wait.

Rich is originally from Wyoming, but moved to Arizona when he was 10. He has wonderful parents, and two younger brothers. The middle brother, Chad, played basketball for ASU and is now playing professional ball in Germany. He is the reason for our July wedding date. That is the only month he is guaranteed to be home. You can't get married without the best man! Rich's youngest brother, Tyler, gave his life for us serving in the army in Iraq. Tyler played baseball for Phoenix College prior to enlisting. He always seemed to follow in Richie's footsteps.

Like I mentioned, Richie played baseball for Phoenix College, and semi-pro football in the AZFL. He also coached high-school football for 3 years. He currently manages Dos Gringos, a popular bar/restraunt in Scottsdale. He hopes to soon open a restraunt of his own. He is a great cook, and spoils me to death by cooking for me all of the time!

He is such a country boy...which is just what I need. He loves to be outside doing anything. He especially loves hunting, fishing and doing anything athletic. He is such a blessing to me, and is everything that I have ever hoped for in a husband!

I will try really hard to keep everyone updated on the soon-to-be Prewitt family. I haven't been too good at that for the last 7 years!
